More than a room; an experience
Across two hectares, sixteen private hideaways will be carefully positioned to optimize stunning views and provide privacy. Each is being individually designed for sustainability, style and comfort.
Inside you'll find soft bamboo sheets on your freshly made bed, fragrant locally produced soaps, and a reusable water flask that's yours to keep cooling in the minibar.

Luxurious, Ethical Travel At A Reasonable Price
Traveling responsibly tends to come with a hefty price tag—we want to change that. Rooms at Samong Haven will start from 930k IDR (55 euros) per night. We want to make ethical, comfortable travel that supports its environment and community available to more people and show that it should be standard across the travel industry.
A Sustainable Approach
All our buildings will be built from local materials wherever possible and equipped with solar-powered electricity, water collection, waste-water management, and high speed internet.
Less than 15% of the land will be built upon, and our permaculture garden will be a central feature - feeding our kitchen, nurturing creative minds and encouraging birds and butterflies.
A tree will be planted for every guest who stays with us - lowering carbon footprint and contributing to reforestation.

Eat well
Food is a must, so we must enjoy it.
A stylish ring shaped restaurant looks inwards over lily ponds to the open kitchen. Mouthwatering smells drift to your table. Looking out, it is surrounded by our organic permaculture garden—you can see where much of what you will be eating has come from. Fresh, locally sourced fish is brought in from less than two kilometers away, bread is baked on site daily, and you can choose from a range of specially selected of Indonesian coffees.
Global Tastes
Samong Haven will periodically host a chefs-in-residence for exchange of techniques and recipes with our in-house chefs, sharing culinary influences from around the world, and helping craft our menus to entice local flavors and far flung tastes.

Whether that includes a mountain view massage, tracking stunning wildlife with a photography tutor, or learning to weave the intricate chanag sari offering dishes (as seen everywhere across the island), we will be there to ensure your stay is memorable.
